Hello and welcome to Platform Updates from Narratory. In this issue, we're covering three new features designed to make building and automating your research newsletter easier than ever, from connecting to repositories to turning any link into a story. First up, we have an update for institutions using DSpace. Collate can now connect directly to your institutional repository to automatically pull newly deposited items into your newsletter queue. This means your newsletter can stay current with your repository without anyone having to manually check for new work. The system also lets you browse the repository's collections and apply filters to narrow things down by subject, author, or department, ensuring you only pull in the research that matters to your audience. Next, you can now instantly create an automated newsletter for any journal using its ISSN, or International Standard Serial Number. Once you add a journal's ISSN, Collate queries both Crossref and OpenAlex on a daily schedule, picking up articles as they are registered, often before a formal issue is even assembled. This is particularly useful for journals and scholarly societies that want to engage their audiences with new articles as soon as they are published, without any extra editorial effort. Finally, let's talk about a new feature called Magic Link. It’s a shortcut for adding content you find online directly to your newsletter queue. You simply paste any URL, such as a DOI, a PubMed link, or even a news story, and Collate automatically pulls the metadata and generates a reader-friendly headline and summary. The process runs in the background and notifies you when your content is ready for review, saving you the time it would take to write it up from scratch. That’s all for this issue of Platform Updates. For more details on these new features, we encourage you to read the full post on the Narratory website.
